The Indian Air Force will include the indigenously developed Light Combat Helicopter in its fleet. This Light Combat Helicopter is capable of firing multiple missiles and using weapons

The Light Combat Helicopter has been specially designed to be deployed in high altitude areas. This helicopter has a seating capacity of two people.

Its weight is 5.8 tons. It can fly at a maximum speed of 268 kmph. Its range is 550 km. The length of this helicopter is 51.10 feet and height is 15.5 feet.

It has radar evasion feature, armored protection system, night attack and emergency landing capability.

Can go up to a maximum height of 6500 feet. These helicopters are capable of air-to-surface and air-to-air strikes.

Approval was given to purchase 15 indigenously developed LCHs for Rs 3,887 crore. Of these, 10 helicopters will be for the Air Force and five for the Army.
